AI search readiness check
AI search can cite a business when a crawler is allowed to read a public page that already states the facts in the HTML. Enter a website address. This check fetches that page and reports what it found.
It reads the homepage, robots.txt, sitemap.xml, and llms.txt. Each scored line is a pass, a warn, or a fail, with why it matters and how to fix it. llms.txt is Info: optional, no proven effect on AI citations yet, and it is not counted in the score. It does not store the URL. It does not ask ChatGPT, Google, or any other assistant what it would say.
Search crawlers and training crawlers are separate. OAI-SearchBot and PerplexityBot affect whether ChatGPT search and Perplexity can read the site. GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, Applebot-Extended, and CCBot are training or model-improvement crawlers. Blocking those does not by itself hide the business from AI search. This check does not read Googlebot. Google Search, including AI Overviews, uses Googlebot rather than Google-Extended. An llms.txt file is optional, and major AI search engines do not widely use it yet.
A pass means that file or tag is in place. It does not mean an assistant will recommend the business. Can ChatGPT find your business explains the crawler names in plain English.

FAQ
What does the AI search readiness check look at?
It fetches one public homepage, then robots.txt, sitemap.xml, and llms.txt. You get a pass, a warn, or a fail for HTTPS, whether the page loaded, whether the words are in the server HTML, a noindex tag, the title, the meta description, LocalBusiness or Organization details, FAQ content, AI search crawlers, training crawlers, and a sitemap. llms.txt is Info: optional, no proven effect on AI citations yet, and it is not counted in the score.
Will this tell me if ChatGPT recommends my business?
No. The check reads your public page and files. It does not ask ChatGPT, and allowing a crawler does not create a recommendation. A robots.txt block also does not erase facts a tool already stored.
Does a missing llms.txt file hide my business?
No. Optional, no proven effect on AI citations yet. A missing file is marked Info and is not counted in the score.
Do you store the URL I submit?
No. The check does not save the URL, the page, or the result. Do not submit a private address. Cloudflare may keep its usual request logs, the same as for any other page on this site.
How is this different from the free website checker and the $99 Website Checkup?
